It's always such a blast working with Carsten, so I was beyond stoked when she asked me to associate shoot this elopement. It was a perfect day for an elopement at Terranea. The sky was blue on one side and overcast on the other side - weird I know, but that's what it was like, which made for gorgeous blue skies behind them, but clean, even lighting on their faces. They opted for a first look then we went out onto the rocks to get some killer shots. Their ceremony was led by their friend Matt where they were surrounded by their closest family and friends. When traveling, you have to get some shoots in! While wandering London, my friend Sheri and I saw this gorgeous couple and had to ask if they'd be open to having their photos taken. They were the most stylist people we had seen and thankfully they were totally into having their photos taken. Enjoy!

The Future Mrs. Letona: Irvine Proposal + Engagement Session

A HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE AT THE GREAT PARK

I was so excited when John texted me asking if I was available to photograph his proposal. We worked together at In N Out for years, so I felt beyond honored to be a part of such an important moment of his life. We all met at The Great Park to go on a hot air balloon ride. He wanted to go up in the balloon then propose later with candles, or so I had thought. We made it back down and I asked them to do a quick shot with the full balloon showing in the background. I turned away for half a second and he was already down on one knee. I was so glad there was a crowd behind me getting excited because I would have missed it otherwise. I couldn't be anymore stoked for these two! Congrats!! Enjoy!

A VICTORIA BEACH LOVE STORY

Happy New Year and congrats to all the newly engaged couples! Let me tell you about one of my favorite engagement sessions.

They were visiting California and had a photographer lined up for the big proposal. Their photographer canceled, but thankfully we managed to get in contact and made the proposal happen a couple hours later. Since it was pitch black during the proposal, I offered an engagement session the following day, which was a blast. Shelby and Gonzo are so fun to hang out with and their love is infectious. Enjoy this sweet couple!

2018 HERE WE COME!

2017 was quite a year!! It consisted of bags always being packed because lots of traveling, ALL the weddings (11 of my own, 44 second shooting), adventurous and fun couples, new gear and too many memories to count! I photographed couples in Chicago, San Francisco, Napa, Oakland, New York and many more places. I visited Detroit for the first time and photographed a wedding for Swanky Fine Art Weddings. I traveled to Seattle with my family for the first time and photographed a sweet couple in Georgetown. I went to Ireland, England and France with my friends Adrian and Sheri and we were able to photograph some gorgeous couples in each country. I shot an elopement in Laguna Beach and we got drenched, including my gear, but we all survived. I'm excited for all the adventures to come in 2018 and can only hope they live up to this year's adventures!
