My sweet friend Virginia had her second little one recently, but first we took some cute maternity photos. I always enjoy driving up to Oxnard to spend a little bit with their sweet family! It was a little windy, but the beach was empty plus the beach is only a few steps from their house. Baby Agatha is here now and I have even more photos to share from the first family shoot we did with her, but for now, enjoy the maternity session!
First things first - do you see Max back there?! Isn't he the sweetest?! He was so fun to have on the shoot because he was so well behaved, sweet and fun! I was beyond stoked when Donal reached out to me after our mutual friend Darren Kennedy sent him my way. Sofie was a killer mama babe! She was hiking, climbing on rocks and telling us to follow her along the craziest paths AND she still looks FLAWLESS after all of that! I absolutely loved spending the evening with these two - such a dream!
2017 was quite a year!! It consisted of bags always being packed because lots of traveling, ALL the weddings (11 of my own, 44 second shooting), adventurous and fun couples, new gear and too many memories to count! I photographed couples in Chicago, San Francisco, Napa, Oakland, New York and many more places. I visited Detroit for the first time and photographed a wedding for Swanky Fine Art Weddings. I traveled to Seattle with my family for the first time and photographed a sweet couple in Georgetown. I went to Ireland, England and France with my friends Adrian and Sheri and we were able to photograph some gorgeous couples in each country. I shot an elopement in Laguna Beach and we got drenched, including my gear, but we all survived. I'm excited for all the adventures to come in 2018 and can only hope they live up to this year's adventures!
Mike and Severina live in Washington DC, but decided to come to California for their baby moon. I was so excited when they contacted me about doing a maternity shoot, even though it was a bit earlier than a typical maternity shoot. Severina was only about 24 weeks along and still so tiny, but she wore dresses that showed off the bump. We focused primarily on black and white images at the Ritz Rancho Mirage. Enjoy!
What a cute little fam! And Julie!!! She's one hot mama! She's also definitely outnumbered now with all those boys! We met up in Long Beach at one of their favorite parks before her baby shower. They were flustered for a second because it felt like nothing was going as planned - she ran a little late and forgot all the props she had wanted to bring, but hey it happens! We didn't let those things ruin the shoot. Instead we made the most of what we had and wound up with some beautiful photos!
