Today I want to share the story of a gorgeous intimate wedding at the Redbird restaurant, and why it's an amazing venue for small weddings. Our couple met at Lake Nacimiento camping with friends, and from there, they discovered their mutual love for eating, reality TV and Vegas trips, as well as their precious fur babies. They knew that an intimate wedding with their closest family and friends was all they needed to celebrate their love.
The Perfect Venue: Redbird Restaurant
This gem is nestled in downtown LA, carved into the former rectory building of Vibiana - a historic architectural beauty. The best part? The dynamic space pays homage to the cathedral next door and maintains the existing timeless architecture by adding simple modern forms that compliment the rooms. Upstairs, you'll find a variety of unique private event rooms, plus an intimate garden and Vibiana. You can customize your special event to your heart's content, combining indoor and outdoor experiences. And each room has its own featured design highlights and history that add to the venue's charm. Many of the rooms even have private open kitchens, allowing for first-hand interaction with Chef Fraser and his culinary team. The Redbird restaurant is a venue that hosts 3-4 weddings at a time, but surprisingly, the bride and groom didn't feel like they were sharing their special day with anyone else. From their vantage point on the balcony, the highest space the venue had available, they could hear and see another ceremony and reception, but strangely enough, the wedding still felt very intimate. They only realized they were in a bustling restaurant when they left their private space.

Amanda & DJ also had some concerns about finding the right photographer for their special day. The Wedding Day
As for the wedding itself, it was a joyous and heartfelt celebration. The groom's mother had passed away, so he danced with his aunt instead, which was a beautiful symbol of family love and support. The couple's favorite musicians, Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen, may not have been there in person, but their music played throughout the night and kept the dance floor packed.
