Karis + Shawn: Laguna Beach Pregnancy Announcement

AN ORANGE COUNTY PREGNANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

I was so stoked when Karis and Shawn told me they were pregnant and wanted me to photograph their announcement, maternity photos, and newborn photos. They drove down to Orange County to go to Disneyland and announcement photos. We met at Top of the World on a surprisingly misty/rainy day. Would you even guess it’s raining? It was definitely cloudy for the first part of the shoot then the clouds opened up and the light was glorious.

They definitely got the memo on props, too! Since they love Disney, they bought a custom Mickey hat ^^ for their little guy. Pro tip: the more props, the better.

I was so excited when Emily reached out about doing a maternity session at Top of the World in Laguna Beach. We’ve known each other forever - used to celebrate Superbowl Sunday and Thanksgiving together. I also had the pleasure of second shooting her wedding in La Jolla. But let’s get back to the current session. Golden hour at Top of the World is one for the books! So dreamy and golden of course! Keep scrolling to see the goods!

Laguna Beach offers so many beautiful beaches and Shaw’s Cove is one of my favorites. I never pick favorite clients, but these two are some of my favorite people to work with. I’m always so thankful and feel really blessed when they reach out about photos. We chose Shaw’s Cove because there are so many options at this beach and it’s usually not insanely crowded.

Matthew + Nichole: Laguna Beach Maternity Session

A TOP OF THE WORLD MATERNITY SESSION

It’s truly a joy to get to photograph milestones for such sweet friends and clients. If this is your first time seeing Matthew and Nichole on the blog, Nichole and I went to the same church growing up. I met Matthew at his cousin’s wedding. A little over a year later, I took their engagement photos and about 6 months after that I photographed their wedding. I was so stoked when Nichole contacted me about maternity photos. We met at one of my favorite locations, Top of the World, at golden hour. It turned out BEAUTIFUL!
