Get ready for the OC fair! It’s legit one of the best places to do photos, whether it’s family or engagement photos. It was a somewhat crowded day, but we were able to find pockets of space for photos and most people were nice enough to walk around us. We did our best to be out of the way though because I hate “putting on a show” or being in the way. Let’s go run around the fair though! Hit me upppp!
I met Jessi and Parker at their house then we walked to the beach together for a fun little shoot. Parker and Jessi were learning to surf, so it made sense to incorporate their surfboard in a few shots. I mean they live steps from the beach. They’re such goofballs, especially Parker - so many moments of him trying to lick her face or dropping her in the ocean. I was cracking up most of this shoot and clearly so were they!
Part one of Doug and Kendall’s engagement session was wine filled! I didn’t know too much about them prior to their shoot other than the fact that they had attended a wedding I second shot. My friend Alexa sent them my way because she was booked on their wedding date. I quickly learned these two love to end a day with a glass of wine and Doug grew up in Temecula, so it only made sense to meet up at a winery. Wilson Creek has a pretty strict closing time, which meant shooting a lot earlier than I normally would like to. We didn’t get much of that golden light, but thankfully we were able to find the little bit of shade.
I got to photograph one of my favorite families, the Holmes! It takes a lot to get this many people together and all in sync, but they did it and nailed their outfits! The thing they learned is to pick a color scheme, which allows everyone to wear the same color, but also mix and match patterns and shades. Enjoy some of our favorites!
The Hui family was so so sweet and total troopers for waking up to meet at 6AM! So dang early, but man that morning light is GOLD!! It was so dreamy! We wandered around a bit and were able to get some beautiful images with the morning light right behind them.
