Andy + Jordan: Vasquez Rocks Anniversary Session

A VASQUEZ ROCKS ANNIVERSARY SESSION

Andy and Jordan were between Malibu Creek Park or Vasquez Rocks for their engagement session. We wound up doing Malibu Creek State Park (check it out!) then their micro-wedding happened in August 2020. They originally had only used part of their hours of coverage with plans to do either a bigger wedding the following year or a party/reception with friends and family who couldn’t be at their micro-wedding. Fast forward a few months, they quickly decided they likely wouldn’t do anything in CA / would probably do something out of state with Jordan’s family. I told them to keep me updated regardless of it being in/out of state.

With no plans for a reception or out of state wedding, I kept thinking about what I could do for them with the additional hours of coverage they had with me. They never asked for a refund and didn’t expect anything, but deep down I felt like I needed to fulfill my end of the agreement in some form. I offered to use their remaining time toward an anniversary session and suggested we finally take photos at Vasquez Rocks. To make it even better, we wound up doing the shoot almost exactly one year from their original wedding date. The pictures were magical and it was so fun catching up with them!

Virginia: Ventura At Home Motherhood Session

I absolutely love getting to photograph such pivotal times in Virginia’s life. Her family has grown, which you probably saw from our previous maternity session. We finally managed to snap some updated family photos a year after Agatha was born. I drove up to Ventura to their home and we took photos in the nursery. How sweet are they?!

Ailis + Michael: Pasadena Christmas Card Shoot

A HOLIDAY COUPLE’S SESSION

Ailis and I have been chatting FOREVER about planning a shoot and I’m SO HAPPY we finally made it happen! We met a while ago after our mutual friend Kristen told Ailis about me. Ailis reached out originally for photos for her social media, but was traveling a lot as was I. We kept missing each other until last winter when we were able to meet for coffee and chat. We chatted more about doing a shoot for her company at some point (still in the works), but then we managed to schedule a shoot for her and her fiance before that shoot happened. We met up in Pasadena (one of my favorite places to shoot) and wandered around Old Town. They are so sweet and were laughing the whole time - that’s all natural people!!!

Bryttani + Ryan: Malibu Creek State Park + Paradise Cove Engagement

A MALIBU ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Bryttani + Ryan!! Ah these two are fun!! :) They’re huge country fans, so it only made sense to incorporate their love for all things country. They’re also water babies, so we made sure to hit the beach after spending some time at Malibu Creek State Park. It was such a gorgeous night and we wound up with some of the best photos!! Connie + David: Pasadena City Hall Engagement Session

AN OLD TOWN PASADENA ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Coffee, cuddles and lots of love in Old Town Pasadena with Connie and David! They met on coffee meets bagel, so coffee was obviously a must, but unfortunately most bagel shops are closed by 5PM, so no luck with the bagels! They are so so fun and I can’t wait to post their wedding, too! For now, enjoy this sweet engagement session!
