Andy + Jordan: Vasquez Rocks Anniversary Session

A VASQUEZ ROCKS ANNIVERSARY SESSION

Andy and Jordan were between Malibu Creek Park or Vasquez Rocks for their engagement session. We wound up doing Malibu Creek State Park (check it out!) then their micro-wedding happened in August 2020. They originally had only used part of their hours of coverage with plans to do either a bigger wedding the following year or a party/reception with friends and family who couldn’t be at their micro-wedding. Fast forward a few months, they quickly decided they likely wouldn’t do anything in CA / would probably do something out of state with Jordan’s family. I told them to keep me updated regardless of it being in/out of state.

With no plans for a reception or out of state wedding, I kept thinking about what I could do for them with the additional hours of coverage they had with me. They never asked for a refund and didn’t expect anything, but deep down I felt like I needed to fulfill my end of the agreement in some form. I offered to use their remaining time toward an anniversary session and suggested we finally take photos at Vasquez Rocks. To make it even better, we wound up doing the shoot almost exactly one year from their original wedding date. The pictures were magical and it was so fun catching up with them!

Barbara + Mario: Paris Anniversary Session

AN ANNIVERSARY SESSION IN PARIS

My friend Barbara and her boyfriend Mario had planned a Paris trip for their anniversary. She’s so sweet and always reaches out to me to see if we’ll be in the same city and for once we were! We planned to meet up and shoot for a few hours, but it was definitely a lot colder than we had expected. We managed to get some awesome shots at the Eiffel Tower and around the city before heading to their hotel for a few final shots. They were staying fairly close to me, so it was an easy walk home after this shoot!

Bailey + Jordan: Brooklyn Anniversary Session

AN ANNIVERSARY SPENT RUNNING AROUND BROOKLYN IN THE FALL

Remember how I joined Phil Chester on a shoot and learned him? Well I also have the opportunity to do the same with Lindsey Roman and her sweet friends Bailey and Jordan! They’re so cool and hip, so Brooklyn definitely made sense for an anniversary session. It wasn’t too cold, but even so, we had them cuddle up together as much as possible and run around like crazy. I didn’t have any film left for this shoot, but definitely wish I had!

Adrian + Sheri: Cliffs of Moher Ireland Photographer

A FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY GETAWAY

To cerebrate their five year anniversary, Adrian and Sheri decided to do a trip in Europe. Sheri had a wedding booked in Ireland for August, so it just made sense to make it a month long trip spent exploring as much of Europe as they could. They were so excited about it, they invited as many friends as they could and booked shoots in each country. I was blessed enough to go along for Ireland, England and France. We met up in Dublin and made the long 3 hour trek to Cliffs of Moher, which was awesome! We made it up to the cliffs in time for sunset. Enjoy!

AN ANNIVERSARY VACATION TO SF

The Deharts in San Francisco! They decided to have a little getaway from Utah alone for their anniversary and wanted some photos to document the memories. They wanted iconic San Francisco backgrounds, but not too typical or basic. Of course we had to get the Golden Gate Bridge though because how else do you know you're in SF? Enjoy!
