Milee and Tommy came to LA for a quick visit while planning their wedding back home in Korea. They thought it would be a great chance to get an engagement shoot in. Tommy had been to LA plenty of times (he grew up in the states), but it was Milee’s first trip. We decided on DTLA Arts District because there are SO MANY options. We grabbed coffee first at Blue Bottle then wandered around the streets and found some fun locations!
Part one of Doug and Kendall’s engagement session was wine filled! I didn’t know too much about them prior to their shoot other than the fact that they had attended a wedding I second shot. My friend Alexa sent them my way because she was booked on their wedding date. I quickly learned these two love to end a day with a glass of wine and Doug grew up in Temecula, so it only made sense to meet up at a winery. Wilson Creek has a pretty strict closing time, which meant shooting a lot earlier than I normally would like to. We didn’t get much of that golden light, but thankfully we were able to find the little bit of shade.
A rad crew got together and planned this styled shoot! We had a bride, groom and a little wedding party at Huntington Bay Club. It was so fun to come up with a shoot loosely inspired by Mad Men with my friend Dee!! She pulled it off for sure!

Max and Tiana’s engagement shoot was one for the books! First off, their name owns the big main house on Los Rios St - I mean hello they are the Rios family! We met at their house and started on their ranch, goats and pup included! Their families were there, so I got to meet everyone ahead of time and check out the potential locations for their wedding day. After shooting on their property, we hit Los Rios St and some of their neighbors were kind enough to let us shoot on their property. As many of you know, Los Rios St requires a permit and a lot of places along the street have signs that say “no photography,” so it was such a treat to be able to do whatever we wanted! We ended our shoot at the beach and they were definitely down to get in the water!
