A DAY IN COSTA MESA & CORONA DEL MAR

Corey and I have known each other since he moved to California a few years ago. His modeling agency linked us up for a shoot and the rest is history. We became instant friends and always find a way to shoot together 1-2 times a year or at least meet up for coffee. When I saw Corey had a girlfriend, I was so stoked for him! When he asked me to photograph him and Sami together, I was so quick to accept. We made plans for the following week to meet up in Orange County since he loves to drive, especially to OC.

He and I had previously done a shoot outside of Kit Coffee, so I figured we might as well meet there, grab a coffee, and explore a bit. We hit Balboa Island and Little Corona. A COUPLE WORKING OUT IN JOSHUA TREE

Get two cutie soccer players in front of your camera at golden hour in the desert and helloooo MAGIC!!! I met these two a year ago while attending a photo retreat in Palm Springs. A fellow photographer setup a little shoot with them and they agreed to let a few of us take photos as well. Turns out Jordan and I live fairly close, so we wound up swapping information to plan another shoot. It only took us about a full year to actually get another shoot on the books! They’re both soccer players and into fitness, so it only made sense to do a fitness inspired shoot rather than something overly couple-y and cute.

When you pull two models together for a little couple’s shoot, this is what you get! Talk about a lot of fun, model poses while also being goofy and wild. I had such a blast hanging with these two in Chelsea near the water.

A DESERT STYLED ELOPEMENT

We hosted our fourth (re)treat yo’self in the desert and it was so fun! Be brought Bianca on as yoga instructor and her boyfriend Lennox came out for the weekend as well. They volunteered to model for us, so of course we took them up on it! Friar Tux let us borrow this awesome suit and the dress was found at Goodwill of all places!! The shots turned out SO SICK, especially since I shot a roll of film - Kodak Portra 800 - sooo good! That first shot up there is filmmm!
