A HYATT HUNTINGTON BEACH RECEPTION + FAMILY SESSION

Amanada and Jonathan booked me for their September 2020 wedding at the Hyatt Huntington Beach, but of course we know what 2020 had in store. They postponed to September 2021 and decided to do something smaller in New York where all of their family lives. I unfortunately wasn’t able to make the trip, but I was able to be a part of their reception/family session at the Hyatt. Every wedding is so different, but 2020 really brought out the intimacy and heart of what a wedding day is. It was really special to see their families come together.

Pearl St Laguna Beach Family Session

A LAGUNA BEACH FAMILY SESSION

Krystill’s family was in town and she wanted to do a little shoot to document it! They planned a beach day at Pearl St beach in Laguna Beach and I met them there for a fun lifestyle family session. She prepped me beforehand by saying it would likely be hard to get all of the kids together for a posed photos and she was more excited for candid photos. I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy a lifestyle family session like this, especially since the parents didn’t expect posed photos. We let the kids run wild and I just snapped away! It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had on a family session and they loved the photos.

Family photos don’t have to be super posey or feel stale, but instead can be really fun and document you as a family in your day to day life. This was just a fun beach day they had planned and they wound up getting beautiful photos out of it!

A HUNTINGTON BEACH FAMILY SESSION

I love getting to photography this family! Jessi and I started working together when she needed a photographer for her Instagram. She and Parker lived in New York for years then moved back to SoCal with their little family. Since working together on her Instagram and blog, I’ve photographed their family over the years as well as taken photos of Jessi and Parker (pro tip: this is a great way to have a date without the littles!). Their family is growing! Jessi is pregnant with a little girl and I can’t wait for the next family session with her!

Red Sox New Little Fan: Tampa Maternity Session

A TAMPA MATERNITY SESSION

When Brandon asked if I wanted to come to a maternity session while I was in Tampa, I jumped on the opportunity to join him. He let me shoot around him and told me I was free to direct if I’d like. I let him do his thing and just worked around him. I managed to get some fun shots and found out they’re also huge Red Sox fans!! It was the perfect shoot to join in on!

The Lokkers: Huntington Beach Family Session

The Lokkers are such a sweet family and I have such a fun time photographing their family as it grows! The little ones have gotten bigger and there’s another baby on board! They also do a killer job of coordinating outfits without being too matchy matchy or totally out there!
