Andreas + Britt: Calafia San Clemente Engagement Session

A CALAFIA ENGAGEMENT SESSION

As I’m sure you’ve seen, I do A LOT of engagement sessions at the beach, especially Laguna Beach. I was so stoked when Andreas and Britt told me they wanted to do Calafia Beach. It’s a beach they go to together often, so of course it made sense for them. When I met them at the beach, they offered to pay for my parking, but I have a state parks/beaches parking pass. They said they got rid of theirs because it’s so close to just bike down, so when I say they chose a spot that’s meaningful to them, I really mean it. They brought their pup Coral who made the shoot so fun and kept all of us laughing.

Andy + Jordan: Vasquez Rocks Anniversary Session

A VASQUEZ ROCKS ANNIVERSARY SESSION

Andy and Jordan were between Malibu Creek Park or Vasquez Rocks for their engagement session. We wound up doing Malibu Creek State Park (check it out!) then their micro-wedding happened in August 2020. They originally had only used part of their hours of coverage with plans to do either a bigger wedding the following year or a party/reception with friends and family who couldn’t be at their micro-wedding. Fast forward a few months, they quickly decided they likely wouldn’t do anything in CA / would probably do something out of state with Jordan’s family. I told them to keep me updated regardless of it being in/out of state.

With no plans for a reception or out of state wedding, I kept thinking about what I could do for them with the additional hours of coverage they had with me. They never asked for a refund and didn’t expect anything, but deep down I felt like I needed to fulfill my end of the agreement in some form. I offered to use their remaining time toward an anniversary session and suggested we finally take photos at Vasquez Rocks. To make it even better, we wound up doing the shoot almost exactly one year from their original wedding date. The pictures were magical and it was so fun catching up with them!

Jennifer + Philip: Montage Laguna Beach Engagement Session

A MONTAGE LAGUNA BEACH ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Montage Laguna Beach always makes a great backdrop for an engagement or family session. I had such a blast with Jennifer and Philip. They were so easy going and down to do whatever. I like to keep it pretty simple and let them be themselves first and foremost.

Mervin + Silpa: Shaw's Cove Elopement

A SHAW’S COVE ELOPEMENT

Mervin and Silpa — two of the kindest souls and so beautiful together. It was a dream photographing them at Shaw’s Cove. Their families were so sweet then left us so we could take portraits at the beach. The weather was perfect and it wasn’t too crowded. They were down to do anything, too - even trek to the end of the rocks.

Belinda + Ivan: Fairmount Park Family Session

A FAIRMOUNT PARK FAMILY SESSION

Originally, Belinda and Ivan wanted to take photos at Mt Rubidoux, but based on sunset and the clouds that were coming in, we decided to go to Fairmount Park. Who knew Riverside had so many great locations nearby each other. Fairmount Park had so many locations to offer and the clouds opened up a bit for us, too. They brought their rescue pup who made the shoot even more fun.
