A RAINY DTLA WEDDING DAY

Everyone loves a downtown Los Angeles wedding because each time you get unique shots, especially on a rainy day. The day started out fairly sunny, but still somewhat cold. By the time we did the first, the clouds really started to roll in. Once we got to the roof, it was sprinkling. We had bought clear umbrellas, so we were totally prepared, but shoot it got windy and started pouring a lot, so we had to move inside. Thankfully the Los Angeles Athletic Club is fairly cool and provided interesting backdrops indoor. Enjoy!

This couple, this venue, their love for each other - those are the things you want on a wedding day! These two are absolutely gorgeous and are so in love - they have a little girl to prove it! Their day featured lots of time with their family including a special family dance, lots of laughter, beer and good times! This wedding brought a mix of dark and moody + bright and colorful. Enjoy!!

When coordinator Jamie Wolfer and I started chatting about styled shoot ideas, we both kept coming back to Tarzan and Jane, jungle/safari theme. Jamie found some of the coolest pieces, the venue and I found my two awesome friends Abi and Dylan as well as their wedding attire. Saint Isabel Bridal lent us this gorgeous dress and Topman nailed the suit. Abi also rocked the Sam Edelman lace up stilettos. HNYPT LA was the perfect backdrop for this gorgeous shoot. Alicia Wheeler killed hair and makeup as well! Enjoy!

Meet the Pitzels! We met in LA at one of my favorite coffeeshops, Alfred's Coffee. I feel so blessed and honored to have been a part of their special day. The flew me out to Nashville along with their family and friends to celebrate their new journey in Franklin, TN. What a dream to actually get out to Nashville for the first time for such a wonderful event. The day was full of hay bales, cowboy boots and blue jeans. Thanks for letting me be a part of your day!

It's very rare I get to photograph a black tie affair, especially one with some of the most gorgeous people I've ever seen in my life. Wow! The bride and groom are drop dead gorgeous and they have pretty dang attractive friends, too. Look at all the tuxes and the long, beautiful gowns. I died every time a new couple came up for a photo. Woooo! I also looove this custom backdrop with the couples' names and wedding date. Enjoy!
