What an honor it was to photograph Cheri and Madi’s intimate, joy filled day at the Old Orange County Courthouse and the Long Beach Art Museum! Their day was one of my favorites! Madi’s sister actually recommended me because I have done a lot of their family photos and even her maternity shoot. These two knew they wanted photos to remember their big day but weren’t used to being in front of the camera. They did so well and were comfortable interacting with one another. All the photos are stunning! Keep on scrollin’ for a sneak peek into this special day!
Old Orange County Courthouse Wedding
I met up with Madi and Cheri at the Old Orange County Courthouse, which has such a nice charm to it for those who want an intimate courthouse ceremony like Madi and Cheri. The historic building was built in 1901 and has amazing spots for photos, from the inside with beautiful tiles to the front brick steps. They were both so happy and playful that morning, I could tell the day was gonna be so much fun!
Long Beach Museum Of Art Wedding Reception
After taking some romantic photos at the courthouse, we headed over to the reception location at the Long Beach Museum Of Art. They had an intimate ceremony together and then celebrated with all their closest loved ones the rest of the night. You could see and feel the excitement their loved ones had for them as soon as they walked in! This museum is another amazing location for photographs overlooking the ocean. You can even see Catalina Island on a clear day and a view of the iconic Queen Mary.
Romantic First Dance At Sunset
When it was time for Madi and Cheri to have their first dance, the sky really decided to show off. This moment was so picturesque with the cotton candy skies draping over the ocean. I highly recommend scheduling your first dance during sunset!
