A BEAUTIFUL INDIAN WEDDING TO REMEMBER

Talk about a gorgeous wedding - a gorgeous bride, a handsome groom both with killer style and a party to remember! Indian weddings are definitely a party - long days, multiple days - I don't understand how the bride and groom do it! Probably because of all the food they get to eat throughout the day, which let me tell you was amazing!! I third shot this wedding for Kelly Dobyns and her second shooter was Corey Morgan. They are both great photographers and it was such a blast to work with both of them and learn more about their styles and the Indian culture.

2016: A Year in Review

What a year! First things first... This is my second time writing this blog post, so it probably won't be as good as the original post, so I apologize now. 

This year was such a success if I do say so myself! It was my first year as a full time photographer and this site has been live for exactly one year! I photographed more weddings than I can count between May and October, which also included weddings in Dallas, TX and Nashville, TN. I primarily second shot this year, but it was a great stepping stone for what is to come in 2017. This year I second shot for Nicole Leever (such a blessing! Can't wait to work with her more in 2017!), Ryan Scott Welsh, Levi Molina, Eric Williams, Celina Kenyon, Joey Cobbs, Brittany Wilson and Cara Danielle! I also did my first styled bridal shoot with Jamie Wolfer (JW Coordination) at the HNYPT. I also shot styled elopement shots for Lazy C Ranch in Palm Springs. I shot a proposal as well this year and it was absolutely perfect. I met so many couples this year and I'm so excited to meet so many more in 2017!

A HOT DALLAS WEDDING DAY

One cool thing I got to do in 2016 was travel to Dallas for the first time for this gorgeous wedding! In case you didn't know, I always have my bags packed and am ready to travel for your wedding day! Juliette and Justin are awesome and were such a blast to work with! Unfortunate for them, but fortunate for me, their original photographer backed out and they were in a bind to find a new photographer. I was happy to step in and fly to Dallas for their wedding. I had been meaning to get to Dallas, so it gave me a good excuse to finally head there! But let me tell you, it was SO SO hot! The ceremony was on the roof and the guests weren't let onto the roof until it was time for the ceremony. Thankfully it was a quick, but efficient ceremony so I was able to cover all the angles I needed to and not sweat through all of my clothes! What a fun day though!

It was such a pleasure second shooting for Brittany Wilson! She's based in Colorado now, but had a few weddings in California, so I was stoked to work with her on this wedding. Jen and Tyler were so so sweet and so in love! Their wedding party was a blast to hang with, which always makes my job extra fun!

It's always a pleasure second shooting for Nicole Leever. She is one of the best people I've met this year. She photographed my friend's wedding, so I reached out in hopes she would meet for coffee or let me second shoot... She did both! Here's a quick lesson for all of you out there... Email, message, DM, comment, reach out! You never know what could come of it. Thanks to Nicole, I've basically shot every weekend except for 2-3 Saturdays of this wedding season. I can't thank her enough! I'm looking forward to next year's round of weddings!
