The Key to your dream getting ready photos
Corinna had a beautiful vision for all of her wedding photos & sent me a “shot list” so I knew the exact vibe she was going for. A big part of her getting ready photo vision was the AIRBNB she chose to get ready in with her bridal party. She also had everything prepped for us from her detail box (rings boxes, jewelry, invitation suites, etc.) to the dresses laid out & bridesmaid gifts on display. This was so helpful for us since we didn't have to ask her or her maid of honor for anything while they enjoyed the morning getting ready.
Creating Your Vision
If you have a clear vision in mind for what your dream wedding photos look like I highly recommend creating a “shot list” to share with your photographer so they know what photos are a must as well as the vibe throughout the day you want them to capture!
Game Day Entrance For The Boys
Matthew also had a vision for what he wanted for his photos with the groomsmen too! All the groomsmen played football together growing up and wanted a “game day” entrance as each guy showed up to get ready that morning. This was super fun to capture and the guys had the best time having their moment to shine before heading into the big day.
First Looks
Corrina was so loved by her family on her wedding day and decided to do a first look with both her dad and brother, as well as her step dad. It was so beautiful to see the whole family come together all day to pour their love on Corrina and Matthew. All her parents are best friends and there was too many beautiful moments to share of love and family throughout this day.
First Prayer
Another special moment I had the honor of capturing was the first prayer with their families. Their loved ones prayed over Corrina and Matthew before the ceremony. Matthew really did not want to see Corrina so he walked down the hallway towards the room she was in backwards. They held hands and soaked in the love and final moments together before becoming husband and wife without ever seeing one another.
Surrounded By Love
Corrina and Matthew said I do outdoors at Cape Rey with palm trees surrounding the ceremony space. Corrina had both her dad and step dad walk her down the aisle and her brother was the flower boy in a stunning pink suit. After their vows they made a special drink during the ceremony & did a shot together. It was such a unique touch to bring some extra fun to the ceremony.
Grand Entrance
When I tell ya this crowd knew how to party and bring the energy I wasn’t lying. Corrina and Matthew’s wedding parties all had a different song for their grand entrances and used props to add a fun element to their entrance. From boas to hats to beer belts - you can find some fun inspiration for your grand entrance to show off your personality!
Special dances filled with love
Corrina really wanted to make sure everyone in her family was included in every moment of their wedding day even though her parents are divorced. She did such an incredible job honoring her parents and step parents in every moment. The father-daughter dance was one of my favorites, she danced with her dad & step dad separately and then they had a little dance routine put together, that all three of them performed. It was so fun to watch such a sweet memory being made.
